Clostridium botulinum in caviar
Canada: International House of Caviar is recalling AKI brand Chum Salmon Caviar because it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum.
AKI Chum Salmon Caviar 100g with code 2018/08/30 and 50g with code 2018/08/30 is involved.
The recall warning is an update from a notice on 3 November after additional product information was identified during the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) investigation. There have been no reported illnesses.
Products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and possibly nationally.
