Listeria in sandwiches
US: King Soopers has recalled its chicken salad sandwiches that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Prepacked 6.8 oz sandwiches are sold in King Soopers and City Market stores in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming and have dates 20-9-17 to 28-9-17. No confirmed reports of illness have been reported.
King Soopers was notified by the manufacturer, Journey Cuisine, that the product may be contaminated with L. monocytogenes. The company has ceased production and distribution of the product pending an investigation.
King Soopers has removed it from store shelves and started its recall notification system that alerts customers who may have purchased products through register receipt tape messages and phone calls.
