Food safety recall round-up 11-17 August 2017
Arla recall due to risk of yeast growth
Denmark: Arla Foods has issued a recall due to a risk of yeast growth making the product unfit for consumption.
Cheasy skyr Vanilje in a bucket 1kg sold in stores across the country with date 31-8-17 is affected.
Unintentional yeast growth was found in 9,000 of the products made at Upahl Dairy in Northern Germany.
Arla said there is no health risk but it chose to withdraw the entire batch of 37,800 1kg buckets to avoid unnecessary concern among consumers.
