Undeclared soy lecithin on pizza labels
US: D & D Foods, Inc. is recalling 17,847 pounds of pepperoni pizza due to undeclared soy lecithin.
Pepperoni pizza items were produced and packaged on dates from April 18 to July 21 and were shipped to retail in Minneapolis, said the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS).
The problem with the products was discovered by FSIS’ Inspection Program Personnel (IPP) while doing routine label verification.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.
