Potassium acesulfame in juice
Lithuania: The State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) has banned one batch of pomegranate juice and is investigating several others.
Batches of one pomegranate juice produced by "Tichvinskij Ujezd" of Russia are banned due to the addition of sweetener potassium acesulfame which is prohibited in the manufacture of juice.
Baltijos Bretlingis, which imported the juice, found more lots of pomegranate juice and selected additional samples for laboratory testing. A decision on these juice batches will be made after the results of the tests.
