Listeria monocytogenes in ice cream
Canada: Central Smith Creamery is recalling two flavours of Wholesome Farms brand Sundae Cup due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results but there have been no reported illnesses.
Strawberry Sundae Cup 115ml with product code 03204 and Strawberry Ice Cream Sundae Cup (case) 48 x 115ml with code 7382200018032042 2/1/17 is affected.
Vanilla Sundae Cup 115ml with the same product code and Vanilla Ice Cream Sundae Cup (case) 48 x 115ml with product code 7382200017032029 2/1/17 is involved.
It was distributed to Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec at hotel, restaurant and institutional level.
