Mercury in swordfish
Hungary: Hungarian authorities have warned about frozen swordfish loins from Vietnam in excess of the permitted limit (1mg/kg) of mercury.
Lab tests found the heavy metal in 1.6 mg/kg - ppm.
The shipment from Vietnam was to a Belgian enterprise and was then transported to Hungary through a Dutch intermediary. Italy also received product, according to RASFF.
It has item number KHFILSA, item ID 150709-4 and shelf life of 11.8.2019.
