Cocoa beverage withdrawn
Czech Republic: The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (SZPI) has ordered Penny Market to withdraw two batches of defective cocoa beverages from Poland.
The agency said Penny Cho Quick misled the consumer about the amount of vitamins in it and failed to comply with allergen labelling requirements. It comes in a 150g package with date 4/2017 and was manufactured in Poland for Penny Market.
Instructions on the packaging said Vitamin B2 - 1.1mg per 100g but SZPI laboratory analysis found vitamin B2 only worth 0.53mg per 100g. Further analysis detected the presence of allergen milk protein in a concentration of 2764mg / kg, with instructions on the packaging declaring only traces of milk.
