Lack of validated shelf life for chicken
UK: Argo Foods has issued a recall as it has been producing and selling products with a shelf-life extended beyond what was validated, according to a Food Standards Agency (FSA) notice.
All sizes of Argo Poultry Whole Cooked Chicken with dates between 20 April and 4 May are affected unless an ‘A’ prefix is on the label in front of the weight.
Food Standards Scotland believes distribution is limited to Scotland but it may have onward distribution to other parts of the UK.
