October - Denmark: Kewa Fisk Danmark has withdrawn tuna loins as there is a risk of histamine.
Items produced 29-9-15, expiry date 9-10-15, Lot no. 694528, produced 2-10-15, expiry date 12-10-15, Lot no. 695306, produced 9-10-15, expiry date 19-10-15, Lot no. 696537 and produced 13-10-15, expiry date 23-10-15, Lot no. 697079 are affected.
A French food operator withdrew batches of tuna due to suspicion on too high levels of histamine in the product.
A RASFF alert says product was distributed to Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and the UK.
Nikolas Kühn Hove, head of alert unit for food and feed at DVFA, said some of the tuna was sold through wholesalers to a Danish restaurant and was served at a dinner.
“The DVFA has been investigating a foodborne outbreak with 12 persons affected at that restaurant and took samples of the tuna for analyses. The analytical results indicated in the notification are our results.”
