UK pork is on show at Anuga for the first time in years.

Hosted next week (10-14 October) in Cologne, Germany, Anuga will feature 6,800 exhibitors, 850 of which will be firms from the meat sector.

A total of 155,000 delegates from 200 countries are expected to attend the show.

Pulled pork and sausages will be entering the spotlight at the UK Agricultural & Horticultural Development Board’s (AHDB's) 240m2 stand at the fair. In addition, charcuterie will be on offer, highlighting the versatility of the meat product.

'Innovative work'

“Anuga provides us with the ideal platform to highlight some of the innovative work we are doing in product development, as well as supporting our exports,” explained AHDB Pork export manager Susana Morris.

She added: “It is the first time for many years that pork has featured on the stand.”

To coincide with the event, AHDB Beef & Lamb and AHDB Pork will be supporting the 24th official British Meat Dinner. The meal, being hosted on 12 October, enables guests from the meat and food industry to network and to sample beef, lamb and pork dishes.
