Mussels recalled due to high algae toxin levels
August - Norway: Norgeskjell is recalling a batch of mussels due to high content of algae toxin "Diarrhoetic Shellfish Poisoning" (DSP).
The product is sold through supermarket chains Coop, Norgesgruppen and Rema and smaller wholesalers outlets.
It affects 1kg mesh bag and 1kg MAP cup and BATCH ST112 NO 52.
The predominant symptoms of DSP poisoning are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
