Listeria monocytogenes in beef sandwiches
July - Canada: HQ Fine Foods is recalling Gloria's brand and Lunch Box Roast beef sandwich products due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The products have been sold in Alberta: Gloria's Roast Beef Sandwich 166g Best Before JL10 with UPC 0 24904 38574 2 and Lunch Box Roast Beef and Cheddar Cheese Sub with Creamy Coleslaw with no brand name 244g Best Before 15JL13 and 15JL16 and UPC 0 24904 47530 6 are affected.
The recall came from the company. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is investigating which may lead to the recall of other products but no illnesses have been reported.
