Chicken products linked to Salmonella illnesses
July - Canada: Sofina Foods is recalling no name and Compliments brands frozen uncooked breaded chicken products due to possible Salmonella contamination.
Chicken Burgers 2kg with code 2016 JA 22 EST 374 and UPC 0 60383 11695 8 and Compliments chicken strips and chicken nuggets 907kg with this code and UPC are affected.
The recall was triggered by findings by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) during its investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak which has sickened 44 people, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
