Tom Hollands named as IFST representative for IFT meeting

Tom Hollands has been selected to represent The Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT)’s Annual Meeting and Food Expo (AMFE 15).

He will represent IFST at Lead 360, a global leadership development program for food scientists.

IFST pays the expenses for someone to participate every year in Lead 360 and attend the IFT event in the USA in July.

Hollands works as a technical manager at Raynor Foods. He is a member of IFST and a Chartered Scientist.

I am delighted to have been asked to represent our institute at this year’s Lead 360 and counting down the days to this exciting event. It’s fantastic that the IFST is able to offer this award every year and a privilege to be selected​,” he said.

Lead 360 aims to identify and invest in a group of new professionals who are passionate about the profession and excited to learn the leadership skills to advance the profession.

Jon Poole, IFST’s chief executive, said it wasthe third year it has participated in IFT’s Lead 360.

“I’m sure Tom will have an excellent experience this year - he is a worthy winner and I know he will prove to be a great ambassador for the IFST on the programme, as have our previous winners.”

IFST’s activities focus on disseminating knowledge relating to food science and technology and promoting its application.
