Anuga: Touched by tragedy
Anuga FoodTec was also touched by tragedy as Germanwings flight 4U 9525 crashed in the French Alps killing all 150 on board, some of who were travelling to Cologne for the exhibition.
Koelnmesse said according to information Anuga FoodTec customers were on board the flight but it would not be releasing the names of companies or individuals concerned.
The trade fair organiser said it was "deeply shocked and grieves with the relatives of all the families affected by the crash".
Inoxpa, which specialises in the manufacture and trade of stainless steel components (pumps, agitators, blenders, valves), published a statement following the incident.
"It is with the deepest sorrow that we communicate you that two persons from Inoxpa were among the passengers on board the Germanwings plane crashed yesterday in French Alps.
"Mireia Serrat, international sales manager, and Mª Lluïsa Romans, the spouse of the general manager Mr Candi Granés, lost their lives in the accident."
