Cabinplant
Maria Birch Sterregard, marketing manager, Cabinplant told GlobalMeatNews that "a very important machine for the meat industry is our multi batcher", which it was showcasing at the event. She claimed the fully-automatic weighing and batching machine offered very precise portion control at high speeds. Cabinplant also claimed it was capable of significantly reduced product giveaway – up to five times less than other systems. It is the firm’s first batcher to use a combinatorial weighing systems, whereby raw material is weighed into partial portions, which are then combinatorially selected to make up the optimum batch weight. It is available as a standalone unit for automatic or manual bagging, box packing or filling into thermoformed packages, or as part of a complete packing line.
The Danish equipment firm also had a spring roll machine on display, suitable for the ready meals market, and a multi-head checkweigher, which is suitable for meat as well as vegetables, for example.
