Food Safety recall round-up 6 - 12 March
Labelling language error on acetic acid
10 March - Australia: Kagro NSW Pty has recalled Korean Strong Vinegar (Acetic Acid) because it contains high amounts of acetic acid; but there is not a warning about this in English.
The vinegar for cooking comes in a glass bottle with Korean writing on label 180ml and an expiry of 9/9/2016.
It is being recalled from Korean supermarkets in New South Wales due to non-compliant labelling - acetic acid can cause internal injuries and illness if consumed.
