Food Safety recall round-up 6 - 12 February
Clostridium botulinum in white fish
10 February - Canada: Elite Salads International is recalling its branded White Fish because of Clostridium botulinum concerns.
Product affected is Elite Salads white fish 200g with a best before date of March 15, 2015. There have been no reported illnesses with the product distributed at a retail level in Ontario.
The recall was triggered by a Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) inspection. CFIA said it is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
