FOOD SAFETY RECALL ROUND-UP 5-17 SEPTEMBER
Smoked Trout - Clostridium Botulinum Concerns
September 11 – The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) warned the public not to eat certain batches of 100g vacuum-packed cold smoked trout from Inverawe Smokehouses in Argyll, Scotland over concerns about Clostridium botulinum controls.
“No trace presence of Clostridium botulinum has been found in product tested, however the batches of smoked trout are being recalled as a precaution," said the FSA notice.
British retailer Waitrose was confirmed as one outlet selling the product in question.
