Iron filings found in bread
28 July - Belgium: Aldi has recalled fresh wholemeal bread because of potential contamination with iron filings.
Aldi said after quality control at its provider Vermauts Boerenbrood, it found that some packages of 600g fresh wholemeal bread contain residues of iron filings.
The supermarket said the move was made with the Belgian Food Safety Agency (AFSCA).
It was sold in East Flanders, West Flanders Province of Antwerp with a best before date of 30/7/14.
