Olive oil issue
10 May - Greece: Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) and the Chemical Service of Thessaloniki, found that four olive oil products, distributed with the label “EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL” were characterized as “SUNFLOWER ARTIFICIALLY COLOURED” following laboratory analysis.
EFET requested the immediate recall and withdrawal of the products from the internal market as non compliant to legislation and adulterated.
Product with the trade name "ELAIODENTRO” in five litre package and best before date 31-12-2015. The product bears also the additional labeling information “GRYPAKIS NIKOLAOS - KALAMATA.
Product with the trade name “FRYNI”, in 5 Litre package and best before date 31-12-2015. It has additional labeling information “KONTOGIORGIS ANTONIS – SOUGIA CHANION.
Product with the name “IRA” in 5 Litre package and best before date 31-12-2015. It also has additional labeling information “PAPADOPOULOU ELENI - PHARON 84 - KALAMATA.
Product with the trade name "DAFNI” in 5 Litre package and best before date 31-12-2015. The product bears also the additional labeling information “GRYPAKIS NIKOLAOS - KALAMATA”.
