Meat processing equipment manufacturer Marel will open a new training and demonstration facility near Copenhagen in Denmark on 7 November.

The 2700m2 Progress Point facility will feature demonstration halls designed to simulate food processing plant conditions to showcase Marel’s fish, meat and poultry processing equipment and systems. The facility will also boast meeting rooms, a large auditorium, a professional kitchen and dining and entertaining areas.

Marel said that, in addition to hosting customer demonstrations and training sessions, Progress Point will be used for meat and fish industry exhibitions. It added that the facility’s central European location was strategically chosen to ensure easy access for international customers, guests and staff.

Theo Hoen, CEO of Marel, said: “At Progress Point we will help customers to increase efficiency, reduce costs and create more value in their industries. At Progress Point we can simulate real food processing plant conditions, making it easier for us to find the best solution for our customers each time.

“Progress Point will also help our customers to make purchasing decisions as our equipment and solutions will now be on display in one place. Progress Point is a meeting point for everyone interested in experiencing how the Marel technology and systems can create more value in the food processing industry.”
