EFET tests find salmonella in sausages
September 12 - Greece: Salmonella has been found in sausages after testing by Greek authorities.
E.F.E.T (the Hellenic Food Authority), the Regional Directorate of Central Macedonia and Regional Public Health laboratory in Thessaly were undertaking tests for Salmonella spp. and Listeria monocytogenes.
The product has an expiration date of 11/12/2013 and is produced by "ΧΑΡΙΤΟΥ ΗΛΙΑΣ – ΛΙΛΗΣ ΙΩΑΝΝΗΣ ΟΕ", based in Assiro Thessaloniki.
E.F.E.T demanded the immediate withdrawal of the product and urged consumers who purchased it not to eat it.
