Tahini recalled after Salmonella findings
31 August - Canada: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Phoenicia Group Inc. are warning people not to consume, serve, use, or sell certain Tahini products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
Tahini products, sold commencing February 1, 2013 with no lot code indicated on the package, are affected by this alert, it does not include Cedar brand Tahini products where a lot code appears on the package.
Cedar Tahini 907g (2lb) with no lot code on the package 0 62356 54525 3 and a labels saying "Product of Canada" and Cedar Tahini 18kg (40lb) with no lot code on the package 0 62356 54522 2 buy saying "Product of Canada" are involved in the recall.
