Preparations are well underway for one of the world’s biggest food fairs with visitors expected from around the world.

The Anuga food fair, which takes place in Cologne, Germany, will see more than 6,700 exhibitors from more than 100 countries taking part.

As well as a strong showcase of international meat companies taking part in the Anuga Meat section, there will be a focus on foodservice, organic and frozen foods, to name just a few.

Dieter Eiden, vice president of trade fair management with organisers Kolnmesse, said: “Anuga will kick off on the evening before the fair begins with the Anuga Executive Summit, a get together for members of the industry and the trade at the highest level. Top experts from the food trade and the food industry have been invited to be keynote speakers.

“Other events at the fair will include the Frozen Food event, the Meat Essential get-together for the meat segment, and the second European Halal Conference.”

The show takes place from October 5-9.
