Benecol withdrawn due to yeast fermentation
4 June - Northern Ireland: Johnson & Johnson has withdrawn (via Advance Marketing NI) of a batch of Benecol Peach and Apricot yoghurt drink from retailers, due to yeast fermentation.
Consumers may find that that some bottles may be bulging or that the product appears or tastes fizzy.
The bottles, which have a use by date of 9-14 June 2013, originated in Switzerland.
Johnson & Johnson said recent complaints from consumers said that the product was fizzy or the bottles popped open and initial results suggested that yeast fermentation is the most likely cause of the problem.
