Cleaning solution contamination leads to Swedish milk recall
3 June – Swedish dairy processor Skånemejerier has recalled a batch of organic whole milk after concerns were raised about a possible cleaning solution contamination.
The recall, which affected approximately 3,300 litres of the product, was initiated once it emerged that acidic cleaning solution ended up in a batch of the product.
The firm has urged consumers who bought the milk to discard it.
“No other milk or other products from Skånemejerier have been contaminated. The recall applies only to the climate-controlled organic standard milk,” said a notice posed by the firm.
