22 May 2012 - Indonesianfoodmart.com is recalling packages of ‘Tempeh Starter Yeast’ and ‘Super Starter Yeast’ after tests conducted by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service revealed the presence of Salmonella in samples of the product.
The products in question were distributed domestically across the US and internationally to Australia, Canada, Slovenia, New Zealand, Brunei, Darussalam, Poland and Croatia.
Several illnesses have been linked to the recalled products.
“Upon being notified of the risk by the FDA, the Indonesianfoodmart.com immediately discontinued their operations. Indonesianfoodmart.com did not manufacture the product which was imported from Indonesia,” said the firm.
