'Alarming' China food inspection results
More than half of all food processing and packaging firms in mainland China failed food safety inspection in 2011, quality control company AsiaInsepction reported earlier this year.
AsiaInspection later highlighted the need for an increase in funding to combat food safety concerns in the country to remove the negative "Made in China" opinion held by many in China and around the world.
Efforts continue to be made in the country to prevent the production, sale and consumption of substandard food, with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and import law specialist FDAImports.com offering their support.
