The countdown to Europe's ingredients fiesta - the FiE - next week in Frankfurt, Germany begins and exhibitors and visitors prepare themselves for an opportunity to gain wider view of the industry. At the event, Dutch food research body NIZO will co-ordinate a debate on innovation.
The pursuit of innovative ingredients and food products wields an increasing force as companies strive to sustain market positions in an increasingly competitive environment.
"Life cycles of innovative products are only sustainable if underpinned by the strong combination of emotional and technological benefits," said NIZO in a statement this week.
In view of this development NIZO food research has organised the NIZO Innovation Seminar series on the 19 November during the FiE. Organised in co-operation with the Consulate-General of the kingdom of the Netherlands in Frankfurt/Main, the seminars will focus on product groups where consumer and market trends will be linked with technologies aimed at sustainable innovations, said the research group this week.
Speakers at the event include Dr Ad Juriaanse, managing director, NIZO food research, Dr Rob Beudeker, BU manager ingredient development, DSM Food Specialties, Dr John Verbakel, vice president R&D UBF Foodsolutions, Unilever bestfoods and Dr Gerhard De Ruiter, BD manager ingredients at NIZO food research.
