Nutrinova takes on FiE
in numerous forms at this year's FiE show in Frankfurt, including
the new soft gels, a functional drink and a nutrition bar.
Speciality ingredients supplier Nutrinova has designed a variety of products to display its latest ingredients at this year's Fi Europe show, taking place in Frankfurt in November.
The company, which recently joined with SwissCaps to launch its DHActive in soft capsules, will also serve visitors a drink containing the omega-3-rich oil. The vegetarian soft gels are already available in the US and waiting approval from Europe for distribution here. DHActive could be included in many foods such as cereals, dairy products and fruit juices, as well as supplements, claims Nutrinova.
Nutrition bars fortified with the microalgae-derived ingredient will also be on display. DHActive is said to contain a much higher concentration of DHA and a lower amount of undesirable fatty acid than competitor's products.
Nutrinova will also promote its dietary fibre Caromax and the high intensity sweetener Sunett (acesulfame K). Recent studies have shown that Caromax has potential to lower cholesterol.
