Rhodia further develops Asian market

Rhodia Food, a branch of French specialty chemical company Rhodia, recently signed a technical collaboration agreement for the development of custom-made cultures with Chinese dairy producer, Shanghai Bright Dairy.
The agreement, signed in Shanghai earlier this month, extends the current collaboration between the two companies in the dairy market in China.
Rhodia Food and Shanghai Bright Dairy are to develop a new custom-made culture for fermented dairy products, in particular yoghurts and beverages.
In a statement Rhodia Food confirmed its interest in the Asian market. 'Rhodia Food strongly believes in the growth of the dairy market in Asia, andmore importantly in China where the dairy market has reached double-digit growth. To contribute to this development Rhodia Food is committed to partnerships with key industry players such as Bright Dairy.'
Rhodia Food is part of the Specialist Food Products Division of the Rhodia Group. Shanghai Bright Dairy & Food Co., Ltd. (Bright Dairy), is a joint-venture set up by six enterprises including Shanghai Dairy (Group ) Co., Shanghai Industry Food, and Danone (Asia).
