Danish ingredients company Danisco received recognition on Tuesday for its online communication when the daily newspaper Børsen awarded the Danisco website the best Danish business website in 2001. Last year Danisco's website underwent a transformation with a new structure, design and functionality. In connection with the re-launch, the overall communication strategy for Danisco was a point of departure for the website. 'We consider the internet an integrated part of our communication platform. The website undergirds the other media which our shareholders receive such as Danisco Magazine,' commented Corporate Communications Manager Anders Hundahl. 'A significant reason for an entirely new website with emphasis on visual expression is based on Danisco's evolvement from a traditional conglomerate to an innovative and focused manufacturer of food ingredients. That story is prime material to communicate to interested parties, including important target groups such as shareholders and key journalists,' added Anders Hundahl. In cooperation with the Swedish financial communications consultancy, Hallvarsson & Halvarsson, the Danish daily Børsen evaluates the most significant Danish companies' internet endeavours with respect to their financial disposition. Two years ago, Danisco was ranked fifteenth.
