French drinks group Pernod Ricard agreed on Monday to pay about 300 million zlotys ($71.38 million) for control of Poland's second largest vodka maker, Polmos Poznan, the treasury ministry said. The treasury said in a statment that Pernod, which already owns Polish food and drinks group Agros, agreed to buy an 80 per cent stake in Polmos Poznan through the French group's investment unit Santa Lina.Polmos Poznan, with a 19-per cent share of Poland's spirits market, produces Wyborowa, the country's flagship vodka export brand. The firm posted a 16.4 million zlotys net profit last year on sales of nearly one billion million zlotys.
