French drinks group Pernod Ricard agreed on Monday to pay about 300 million zlotys ($71.38 million) for control of Poland's second largest vodka maker, Polmos Poznan, the treasury ministry said. The treasury said in a statment that Pernod​, which already owns Polish food and drinks group Agros, agreed to buy an 80 per cent stake in Polmos Poznan through the French group's investment unit Santa Lina.Polmos Poznan, with a 19-per cent share of Poland's spirits market, produces Wyborowa, the country's flagship vodka export brand. The firm posted a 16.4 million zlotys net profit last year on sales of nearly one billion million zlotys.
