Danisco expanding flavour business in China

After opening a flavour laboratory in China last year, Danisco, the
Danish food ingredient company is opening a new flavour factory.

Early 2002, Danisco, the Danish food ingredient company, is to open its new flavour factory in Kunshan, China. Last year, Danisco opened a flavour laboratory at its Chinese application, development and production complex. Danisco​ claimed that its flavourings businesses had turnover last year in excess of $113.7m. The world market for flavourings is valued at around $4.548bn per year, rising four per cent annually. The Chinese market grew by 10-12 per cent. Danisco already has flavour production facilities in Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Sweden, the UK and the US. In addition to the sales, service and production facilities in Kunshan, Danisco has sales offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
