The U.S. delegation to the Codex Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Task Force on Foods Derived from Biotechnology is seeking comments on analytical methods to detect biotech foods and ingredients. The task force seeks comments on: A listing of validated biotech detection methods — in addition to those submitted in response to an earlier request from the task force — along with their associated validation information. The purpose, placement, value and content of a proposed register containing relevant information on biotech detection methods and on criteria for their inclusion in a register. How access to reference materials could be guaranteed.
