LifeSmart Nutrition, an American nutraceutical company, has filed a 44-claim patent to protect its intellectual property in regards to their Creatine Soft Chews, reports BW HealthWire. The LifeSmart patent aims to protect its soft chew delivery system and distinctive manufacturing process. The Creatine Soft Chews use ultra-micronised creatine and a special blend of sugars to enhance absorption by the body. The chews' manufacturing method protects the creatine from contact with liquid throughout the product creation, giving the final product a stable and effective pH factor. Creatine is a naturally occurring substance linked to increased athletic performance. Creatine supplements have grown into a profitable market with over US$600m in annual sales. LifeSmart's management is positioning the soft chews to capture a meaningful portion of the creatine sector in the near future. Source: BW HealthWire
