All 450 staff at UK-based poultry supplier Sun Valley​ may move to Wales as the result of a £30 million deal between the company and ready meals maker R.F. Brookes. Brendan Sweeney, corporate development director at R F Brookes said: "We have been working closely with Sun Valley managers and employee representatives to ensure a smooth transition. Minimising the number of redundancies is a key aimof the transfer programme.'​ The transfer of the contract from Sun Valley is expected to be completed by the end of September. The 450 Sun Valley employees covered by the agreement will join R F Brookes under TUPE (the Transfer of Undertakings Employment Regulations). The £30m order includes chicken ready meals andIndian dishes. Sun Valley Foods Limited is a wholly owned Cargill Inc subsidiary and R.F. Brookes is a subsidiary of flour giant Rank Hovis McDougall​.
