The eleventh biennial conference on Gums and Stabilisers for the food industry is to take place in Wrexham, UK on 2nd to 6th July 2001. This year the conference, organised by The Food Hydrocolloids Trust, will include an industrial exhibition and a Masterclass designed to appeal to anyone with an interest in the analysis of complex hydrocolloids. The Conference was first held twenty years ago and has grown to become a leading forum for developing closer links between academia and industry in the area of food hydrocolloids. The theme - 'Crossing Boundaries' - aims to reflect the ever increasing need for the food industry to draw on advances in the application of hydrocolloids in the medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and related industries.
