A University of Hohenheim researcher is seeking investment for a project investigating the role of mobile phone apps in promoting better nutrition through behavioural change.

The current research aims to investigate the impact of utilising nutrition apps on both short-term outcomes and long-term behavioral change,” writes Shahin Ghaziani, in his proposal.

“Additionally, the validity of the nutritional data collected by means of mobile apps will be examined.”

The potential of apps to benefit the nutritional status of vulnerable populations would also be researched.

The research would be conducted in conjunction with the Institute of Human-Computer-Interaction at another German institution, the University of Stuttgart.

There has been a floodof nutrition-based phone apps in recent years, but many have been flawed and failed.

Interested investors can contact Ghaziani at Fu.Tunmvnav@hav-uburaurvz.qr.
