People in the UK are too busy to eat and frequently skip meals. These are thefindings of a recent survey carried out by UK supermarket chain Sainsbury. Thesurvey found that nearly 70 per cent of people regularly miss at least onemeal a day. For more than a third of these people the missing meal isbreakfast. Young people were most likely to miss out ? 87 per cent of 16 to24-year-olds said they skipped at least one meal a day. The survey, whichcovered 1,000 people of both sexes across the UK, also found that only aquarter of Britons ate the recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables aday.
