French food safety agency AFSSA is to host an international conference on health and salt in January 2002.
The conference will gather more than 30 specialists from Europe together to discuss the role of salt in health, and in particular, its effect on health of a country's overall population.
The French minister for Health, Bernard Kouchner, will close the conference.
