UK food regulator to hold board meeting

The UK's food regulator is holding an open board meeting on 7 December, aiming to discuss areview of its strategic plan for the coming year and a report on fraud in the industry.

The meeting is part of the Food Standards Agency's policy at more transparency in its regulationand oversight of the sector. The meeting will begin at 9.15am at the Congress Centre, 28 Great Russell St, London.The meeting will be chaired by Deirdre Hutton.

A report from the chair of the meat and hygiene service governing board will also be discussed,the FSA stated.

At the end of the meeting, there will be a question and answer session, when the public can can ask questions or make comments on any of the matters discussed by theboard.
