Vegan product ideas - Tate & Lyle Food Systems

Vegetarian and vegan product solutions for the food industry

Rising consumer demand for vegetarian or vegan foods has been linked to an increase in nutrition awareness and the desire for healthier eating options. This increasing demand for vegetarian products has been illustrated a double digit growth in product launches making vegetarian claims over the last four years in Western Europe. (Source: Innova launch tracker “vegetarian claims”, Western Europe 2014).

In response, Tate & Lyle Food Systems offer a wide range of ready-to-market vegetarian and vegan food product recipes including desserts, ice creams, dips, sauces and spreads. All recipes are based on vegetarian or vegan ingredients and have been developed through our extensive food market experience, as well as tailored stabiliser systems that enable outstanding results in texture, mouth feel and stability.

Our vegan mayonnaise prototype is an example of a ready-to-market product solution:

- made with vegetable oil

- egg-free, using dairy-free vegetarian protein mix technology

- batch stable

- classic mayonnaise technology for the production process

- use of a ‘Stephan cutter’ or ‘Limitec’ for the cold process
