US judge upholds FDA GM food position

A US judge last week upheld the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ruling that genetically modified (GM) food products need not be labelled. The ruling was made in a lawsuit in which a coalition of environmental groups claimed the FDA policy failed to protect consumers. The FDA created the policy in 1992 which states that GM food products are materially indistinguishable from conventional foods and require no special label
