Lab grown meat Q&A: FoodNavigator twitter chat with 'test-tube burger' creator is today

FoodNavigator will host an interactive twitter Q&A session with the man behind the €250,000 lab grown burger, Professor Mark Post, today at 1pm BST / 2pm CET. What will you #AskProfPost.

The twitter chat provides you with the opportunity to watch our live Q&A with Professor Post, and offers the unique chance to join in the debate by posting your own questions and comments to the man behind the world's first man made meat.

The Q&A will be hosted and moderated by FoodNavigator editor Nathan Gray (@nathanrgray ), who will be taking over the @FoodNavigator  twitter account to interview the in vitro meat expert on the commercial viability and economics of lab grown meat in the future. Join us in just a few hours to watch the debate unfold using the #AskProfPost hashtag - where you can join in and pose your own questions and make your own comments on the topics too.

Working in partnership with Food Matters Live (@FoodMattersLive ), where Professor Post will be speaking later this year, the FoodNavigator team has put together a list of core questions around the commercial viability and mass market potential of lab grown meat. This will form our basic chat framework, but will leave ample opportunity for you to ask Professor Post further questions related to these core questions in person on the day.

This is your chance to get involved in the conversation, and pose questions to Professor Post on the commercial viability and industrial realities of lab grown meat.

 The chat will commence at:

  • 8am Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDST)
  • 1pm British Standard Time (BST)
  • 2pm Central European Time (CET)
  • 4pm Gulf Standard Time (GST)

To find out more about the lab grown burger before our twitter Q&A you can check out a recent interview with Post , or the highlights of last year's grand unveilling (and tasting) of the burger below.
