26-Sep-2001

On September 25, the American flavour company Bell Flavors and Fragrances, Inc. announced the purchase of EIGSA (Empresa Industrializadora de Guadalajara, S.A. de C.V.), a flavour and fragrance manufacturer in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The location will be named Bell Flavors & Fragrances de Mexico de S. de R.L. de C.V.

EIGSA, established in 1952, is a privately held full-service manufacturer of flavours and fragrances. Located in Guadalajara, the company's primary focus is to support the flavour and fragrance requirements of Mexico and Latin America. EIGSA is regionally recognised for its product development in flavours, food product ingredients, and fragrances.

"The purchase of EIGSA was in direct response to the needs of our Latin American customers," said James Heinz, president & CEO.
