The food industry training organisation at the University of Reading in the UK, a hub of food science knowledge, will hold a seminar next month dedicated to recent and future legislative changes that affect the UK food industry.

In a statement this week the FIT-R claims that individuals working in the food industry are not sufficiently kept up to date with changes in the UK food legislation. More importantly perhaps, industry representatives may miss out on discussions at the UK government and European level regardingthe direction of future legislation and the potential implications.

The seminar on 8th October will aim to provide the latest information on a range of newlegislative changes affecting the UK food industry and is aimed at managers in the UK food industry. Speakers will include individuals from Nestle, the UK Food Standards Agency, Danisco and Unilever.
