The next European Food Summit entitled "Quality for a Confident Consumer" will take place at the Palais des Expositions in Brussels on 11 and 12 April 2002 under the aegis of the CIAA, the Confederation of the Food and Drink Industries of the EU.
The theme of food quality will be developed during the Summit with specialists representing the various links of the food chain. CEOs from major European food companies will detail the concrete measures put in place by the industry to guarantee quality.
You will learn about the results of a survey carried out especially for the Summit about the evolution of attitudes and of behaviour of consumers in Europe.
Among the numerous speakers will be Franz Fischler, European Commissioner for agriculture; David Byrne, European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection, as well as Antony Burgmans, CEO of Unilever; Peter Brabeck-Lethmathe, , CEO of Nestlé; and Sir Richard George, Managing Director of Weetabix.
